It’s been a week since HOMESICKNESS launched, and the reception has genuinely exceeded my expectations. Throughout the past year of constant, consistent, and continuous development on this project, a lot of doubts came to mind. Doubts about how effective it would be, how many people would resonate with its themes and story, and a variety of other things.
I’m genuinely beyond grateful for all the support and reception. Though this game is still relatively niche, I truly appreciate it. Seeing and reading through reviews, comments, and messages from people who resonated with the game and enjoyed something I spent the past year solely developing has been heartwarming and has meant a lot to me.
I'm still working hard and continuously on this project. I’m focused on helping it reach other spaces, and I have a couple of extra updates planned down the line though nothing huge. One of which being the soundtrack release (Should come out sometime soon, though bare with me). I just wanted to make a brief post to thank everyone for the support and attention I’ve received. One of my core intentions beyond sales was to make a game that could resonate and bring joy, and it appears I’ve succeeded.
Of course, it isn’t over just yet. I’ve got future plans for future projects and a couple of other ideas that are, as of right now, being conceptualized in my mind. I just wanted to thank everyone and let you guys know work isn’t over just yet. I’m keeping an eye out for future reviews, and I look forward to being able to make more stuff in the future.
