It’s been about two weeks since we last shared sneak peeks on the upcoming major update. Apparently, players are super excited for the new festival, the Gene System, as well as the brand‑new building relocation layout shared in the last dev log, all of which are scheduled to arrive in-game very soon.
As we get closer to the next update, titled 'Harvest Fusion', the team is delighted to share a final overview of all the new additions coming to Doloc Town. So sit back, relax, and enjoy!
A brand new core gameplay mechanic is finally coming to town!
As the centerpiece of the upcoming update, the Gene System introduces over a dozen brand new special mutations for seeds, including Fertility Boost, Extended Bloom, and many more!
After the update, players can unlock a brand new tech tree centered around the Gene system, along with a series of new devices. Once unlock the tech node and complete the tutorials, you'll be able to learn all the basics to start your gene modification journey!
Note that one seed can carry up to 3 different gene modules, so experiment to find the best match for your farm setup!
The Gene System is a core gameplay mechanic that will play a vital role in the player's journey, from the early game all the way to the late game. We hope this system adds even more depth to the core farming gameplay, so please let us know your thoughts once it’s out!
Following the Salmon Fest, a brand new event is finally coming to the town of Doloc: The Long Night Festival!
Kicking off in the last week of the year, the festival celebrates the end of the current year and welcomes the dawn of the new year ahead. It offers a series of exclusive content, including town events to participate in, stories that delve deeper into the lives of the townsfolk, new monster to slay, new items, and a unique house decoration set!
Be sure to check in-game after the update to celebrate the new year in the world of Doloc once again!
As teased in the last dev log, the building relocation feature is getting a major refresh, and a massive upgrade!
In construction mode, you can now temporarily store buildings on the right‑hand side without any hassle, making it much easier to clear space for better farm management.
So if you’ve ever fancied yourself a management sim mastermind, now is the perfect chance to put your skills to use in Doloc Town - no compromises required!
In addition to the new in-house decorations rewards mentioned in this dev log, we are also adding a handful of new hats in the upcoming update - mostly designed by our lovely players during the community hat creation event at the end of last year!

Additionally, we are further expanding the story content in this update.
Complete the faction quests provided by Shylock from the Vulture Citadel to obtain the brand new Lowland decoration series and unlock special quests related to the environmental modifiers!
The mailing system plays a vital role in Doloc Town gameplay, as much crucial information - along with rewards is delivered via the mailbox. It is another feature we aimed to improve, as players have provided feedback requesting the ability to categorize messages and clear out old mail for better organization.
Building Renovation - We’re adding another charming new detail to the farm: building windows! In the upcoming update, all building containers will support wallpaper that acts as window panels, bringing a fresh, open feel to your building interiors. This subtle upgrade lets you infuse your farm structures with more character and warmth.
Auto-Breeding devices - Apart from the windows, the ranch is also getting an upgrade, with automated facilities to take care of your beloved animals at the farm!
New Resource Wiki - The in‑game wiki is more polished than ever! The added resource wiki page not only helps you understand the game better, but also provides a progression boost for environmental modifiers!
Cellar Upgrade - The highly requested cellar is finally getting a room upgrade! Based on player feedback, we’ve decided to give players the chance to upgrade their cellars.
Map Optimizations - In this update, the in-game map for the town area will only be revealed once players have explored the relevant regions, and entrances and exits across the Wetland area have also been fully marked to improve navigation.
New Soundtracks - Last but certainly not least, we’re excited to add 7 new original soundtracks to the Doloc Town playlist! The background music in Doloc Town is often praised as some of the most underrated content, and now it gets even better!
And that should conclude all the main content for the 'Harvest Fusion' update, scheduled to release in less than a week!
Again, a huge thank you to all players who have been supporting this title! We hope this update brings Doloc Town one step closer to its full release. If you’ve been waiting for extended social quests featuring more townsfolk, unfortunately we had to leave that out for the next major update due to relatively short development cycle.
