Today we're giving you a sneak peek at the Physics Update coming to #DRIVE Rally later this December. Just a heads-up: this update is still cooking, so some things may shift a little as development continues. The Mac version of this preview will be delayed and will be available tomorrow, December 2nd.

What’s new in the Physics Update?
Smoother, more natural vehicle movement, especially noticeable in the CL class cars.
Improved drifting control, better slide stability and drift duration.
More realistic jumping & landing behavior.
Reduced grip on dirt and asphalt to promote more balanced driving and braking.
Improved Car suspension height to match more realistic fitment.
Improved height in Chase Camera.
Improved Motion Blur.
Optimization across the board. Textures, meshes, collisions, audio sources… little bits everywhere to help with loading and micro-lags.
FYI: Public Beta Branch tracks times won't be uploaded to online Leaderboards.

How to access the Public Beta branch?
Open Steam
Right-click on #DRIVE Rally in your library
Select Properties
Go to the BETAS tab
Choose "Public Beta" from the "Beta participation" drop-down list
Wait for the game to update the files (if nothing happens, restart the Steam client)
Launch the game
Keep in mind that these features are still under development, so some elements may change in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more updates and let us know what you think! 🚗💨
