FREEDIVER Is Cleaning up Canada's Coasts!

FREEDIVER: Triton Down · published 7 years ago

All eventsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

FREEDIVER: Triton Down launched last week to wonderful response from the VR community, and we couldn't be more grateful. Now we're paying it forward, and using this opportunity to give back!

Keeping Our Coasts Beautiful

In honour of #WorldOceansDay, we're kicking off a campaign to raise funds for the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup. Founded in 2002, this national conservation program strives to keep Canada's shoreline ecosystems healthy, and relies on nearly 800,000 volunteers to carry out regular trash cleanups across the country. That's more than 1.3 million kilograms of trash removed from our beaches over nearly two decades, and we couldn't be more excited to participate!

How are we helping?

Starting today, we will be pledging 50 cents for every like/retweet/share that these (Twitter/Facebook) social media posts receive, as well as one dollar for every copy of FREEDIVER: Triton Down sold over the next few days. If you were thinking of adding FREEDIVER to your VR library, now is the time to take the plunge!

Doing The Work

Not only that, we'll be rolling up our sleeves and hitting the Vancouver beaches for our very own cleanup later this summer. (We're going out trash-collecting rain or shine, so expect some very candid photos from the adventure!) FREEDIVER wouldn't exist if it wasn't for our beautiful and inspiring oceans, so we're doing our part to make sure it stays beautiful and healthy for generations to come.

Get Involved!

If you're looking to get active yourself, you can help by sharing our social posts, encouraging your friends to do the same, donating to the GCSC organisation directly, or even organising a clean up of your own! No matter what, we're so thankful for your support, and can't wait to get pledging!

Details About Our Pledge

  • Archiact pledges to donate $0.50 CAD to the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup for every like and retweet on this Tweet, as well as every like/share on this Facebook post, up to a total of $500. Likes/retweets/shares must occur between 12:00 AM PT June 8, 2019, and 11:59 PM PT June 16, 2019.
  • Archiact pledges to donate $1.00 CAD to the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup for every copy of FREEDIVER: Triton Down sold, up to 1,000 copies. FREEDIVER copies must be sold on Steam or the Oculus store between 12:00 AM PT June 8, 2019, and 11:59 PM PT June 16, 2019.
  • The final pledge amount will be announced on social media on June 17, 2019, with the donation sent to the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup shortly thereafter.
  • While we think the Vancouver Aquarium, the WWF and the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup are amazing conservation efforts, we are in no way affiliated with them. Just looking to raise funds for a great cause!
