We’ve gathered feedback from everyone who participated in the playtest of the hardcore mode and made several significant changes to enhance your experience.
What’s New:
- New Feature: "Secrets of the Looking Glass": Discover the mysterious story that led to the gnomes being enslaved by Snow White. To unlock this tale, you’ll need to complete challenging trials, but the rewards will be worth it! Not only will you learn this secret history, but you’ll also receive powerful gear for your van and rare gnomes. 14 secrets and 14 trials await you!
- New Steam Achievements in the Looking Glass: We’ve added 13 additional achievements specifically for the Looking Glass mode (making a total of 27 with the Secrets!).
- Updated Sounds and Effects in the Looking Glass mode: We’ve enhanced the atmosphere and mystery with new sounds and have voiced many player actions within the Looking Glass.
- New Reward System in the Looking Glass: Rewards now scale with the difficulty of battles and increase at each stage. You’ll earn more Golden Teeth for defeating bosses and can equip your van with the latest in fairy engineering faster! Defeating bosses will also yield Blings, which will help create powerful squads.
- Hero control on the Looking Glass Map with keyboard: You can now control your hero using WASD and confirm actions with the Spacebar. Additionally, the Hunger Counter is now displayed on the target’s cross.
- Significant work on graphics and interfaces in the Looking Glass mode: We’ve refined many elements and details to enhance the atmosphere and immersion in this adventure. The Compass and Hunger widgets have been improved, and many screens in the Looking Glass received additional effects and animations.
- Extensive balancing work based on player feedback:
- Looking Glass mode difficulty balance: difficulty now increases more smoothly.
- Hunger balance: gnome buffs have been strengthened, and the Hunger screen has been improved.
- Curses Balance: "Unfair" сurses have been weakened.
- Boss balance in the Looking Glass: excessively powerful bosses have been adjusted.
- Bug fixes and text corrections: numerous bugs and text errors have been resolved.
We hope that playing will now be more comfortable, enjoyable, and… challenging. After all, that’s why we’re here!
