The Season 9 is here, bringing with it not only a host of exciting updates but also a brand new Community Event that will set the pitch ablaze: The Bloodthirst Challenge!
This epic event pits two of the Old World's most brutal factions against each other in a struggle for dominance. Will you align with the fiery rage of Khorne or the festering resilience of Nurgle? The choice is yours, but choose wisely, your actions on the pitch will determine the fate of your chosen deity!
Introducing the Combatants: Khorne vs. Nurgle
The Bloodthirst Challenge features two distinct factions, each with their own unique flavor and roster:
Raging Fire (Red) - The Khorne Team: Unleash the raw power of Khorne, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegades, Norse, and Dark Elf teams. These bloodthirsty warriors will battle on a pitch adorned with Chaos Chosen Pitch Rules, perfectly suited for their aggressive playstyle.
Blooming Rot (Green) - The Nurgle Team: Embrace the putrid glory of Nurgle, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegades, Orc, and Lizardmen teams. These resilient, disease-ridden players will fight on a pitch governed by Nurgle Pitch Rules, spreading despair and decay with every move.
Prove Your Worth: Points and Rewards
Every match in the Bloodthirst Challenge contributes to your chosen faction's overall score. Here's how you'll earn your points:
Win: 200 points
Draw: 80 points
KO: 10 points
Injury: 30 points
Death: 50 points
The point scale will be adjusted monthly based on community feedback and game data to ensure a balanced and engaging competition.
Legendary Rewards Await! All participants who play at least 3 games for the winning team will receive a Legendary reward.
Furthermore, the top 500 coaches of the losing team will also earn a separate Legendary reward.
That's right, it's possible to secure both Legendary rewards by finishing in the Top 500 for both teams!
A dedicated Ranking Page has been added for each team, allowing you to track your progress and see where you stand in this epic struggle.
Important Notes for Coaches
Team Ownership: Post-launch teams (excluding Khorne) must be owned to be used in the event. The Khorne team is free for everyone to participate in the challenge!
Concede Penalty: The concede penalty has been reduced, now matching the same penalty as the official ladder.
