Greetings Novices!

Thanks to everyone who has wishlisted the game or tried out the demo in the past few days. It's been really nice to see and we appreciate the support hugely.

Also thanks for those who have reported bugs or given us feedback. You can hit F1 in the game to do this, or join our Discord to chat with us directly. The game is still in development, so it's super useful to get your thoughts.

Today I've worked on a few high priority fixes listed below.

Thanks,

Al. and Sarah

Hotfix 0.5.5.1

-Updated dialog text font. The text is now easier to read in the dialog tutorial pop ups. I understand there are a few too many words in the tutorial so we will be refining that over time, but this is the first step.

-Enabled pests in the day time. Rats and spiders will now be present in the library during the day! You can increase, decrease or disable any enemy type of pest type in the Game options.

-Fixed a bug where if you died at night, subsequent nights would remain black and white.

-Fixed a bug where the first person viewer model was on top of invisible player in third person mode.

-Updated the input set up which may correct an issue with right stick affecting the hotbar in controls. I am aware that controller input needs some refinement for sensitivity also and I'll be looking at this soon.

-We have removed the pop up which told you about skeletons, so that you do not get attacked while reading it!

Game update5 Sep 2026Hotte Fixxe 1.0.2.3 hath been deployedGreetings Novices, Apologies to clog up your bandwidth with a further update so soon. But I wanted to make a small speculative fix to address a problem a few people reported, that of books clipping into the scribes checkout room on rare occasions. I've not managed to reproduce this here, but I've made a speculative fix that would hopefully prevent the issue. This is a problem when it happens so…Game update4 Sep 2026Thy Hotfix 1.0.2.2 hath been deployedGreetings Novices! Thanks to everyone who picked up the game, we really appreciate your support! Just a quick one - I've got a hotfix that fixes a rare bug that was causing books to self destruct repeatedly at the dock. Oddly, once triggered, this would persist between sessions. So this was quite a strange one and also quite annoying if you were affected, so apologies if you came across this. A…News3 Sep 2026Monk Took Book hath launched!Greetings Novices! Monk Took Book hath launched today! And with it, our definitely hilarious new Launch Trailer: We hope you enjoy your time at the Abbey, even if it does rain quite a lot, and that you can find satisfaction in organising thy books together, and assisting the Scribes in their work. Gramercy! It's been a busy two years! Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback in development and s…
