After almost a year on Steam, Five Mysterious Murders is going to be released as Early Access on December 3rd, 2025! There are a few things that differentiate the Early Access version from the DEMO.
Other than 15 various traps and weapons become accessible. All of them have different damages and interaction mechanics. The killing tools can be crafted, or the very rare ones (e.g., the Chainsaw) can be found by exploring the map.
There are 3 types of non-lethal attacks accessible in the game now. The opponents can fall asleep drinking a beverage with hypnotic, fall down, and pass out slipping on the spilled oil or from a disgusting, nauseous smell. A passed-out opponent doesn't notice your movement and can also be subjected to any of the lethal attacks.
The attack scenes became better and smoother in terms of performance. Several bugfixes were done there, and the most notable one is that the opponents will no longer overlap with trees or other objects when they are under attack.
The inventory is split now into the categories
Survival Kit - The tools necessary for survival
Non-Lethal Kit - See above
Execution Kit - Weapons to apply to the passed-out opponents
Traps
Other - So far, only the radio that can distract the opponents, but there will be more items in the future
