Foodgitives Playtest · published · build 22653895
It's been exactly 19 months since I started development on Foodgitives. I've shown early versions to strangers before — prototype builds on Itch, private playtests — but this is the first build I actually feel proud to upload to Steam. It's getting closer and closer to a true vertical slice, and I'm getting closer to opening up public playtests. Here's what's new:
New music for Main Menu, World Map, Planet of the Crepes, and Mamma Mia's Pizzeria. Music is now safe to stream on YouTube — no Content ID issues.
Redesigned levels — Planet of the Crepes and Mamma Mia's Pizzeria have been rebuilt around the new music.
Settings Menu — resolution, graphic quality, volume sliders, controller rumble, and more.
Escape mechanic — surviving past the Time Goal isn't enough anymore. Now you have to physically escape the kitchen in a flying take out box. Good luck.
Tilt Master Mode — beat a level and unlock the original version of Foodgitives where you don't control your foodgitive at all — only the surface beneath it. Harder than normal mode, but too fun to throw away. Has its own leaderboard.
IL2CPP build — Foodgitives now runs faster under the hood.
Easier start — Level 1 now starts with 3 stars and Level 2 with 4 stars to smooth out the difficulty curve. Eat the stars to destroy the restaurant's star-ratings!
Various bug fixes.
Let me know what you think of the new build and Happy Easter to all!
