A Few Disclaimers

We said this a few times in previous communications, but Early Access is NOT the end of development for Worship. You can read our statement regarding this more extensively here.

Aside from bug fixing, there is still content we wish to push for the game before releasing the full 1.0 version. As such, we plan to update the game over time while it’s still in Early Access.

The way we’ve structured the Roadmap includes three types of update:

Minor Updates: includes new encounters, new upgrades, new rituals and new variants to existing content.
Major Updates: Includes either a new system in Worship or a significant amount of content, like a new playable zone or game mode.
Hotfixes: Includes bug fixing, balancing and small quality of life improvements. Hotfix patches are not scheduled beforehand.
Our intention is to go back and forth between Minor and Major updates, which all of them will include various amounts of content. We will post a new chapter of the Roadmap after each Major update to give you an idea of what and when to expect in Worship, while giving us flexibility on what we want to prioritize for the long term development of Worship.

Keep in mind that our release targets for the roadmap can be influenced by the amount of hotfixes and bug fixing on our plate. Releasing in Early Access adds a new layer on development for which we assume we’ll have to do some adaptation in our workflow at the start.

Multiplayer

As stated in our previous post, the network has, by far, been the most difficult part of development and the main reason for delays in development. Considering this, we are releasing with functional, yet highly unstable, multiplayer support. It is in a somewhat acceptable state for early access and our goal is to get to a way better perfect state for 1.0 with the support from the community.

Currently, joining a multiplayer lobby is via codes only. If you want to “open” your lobby to strangers, we’ll create a Discord channel in our server to facilitate the exchange of codes. Look out for #lobby-codes on Discord!

Bugs and other features requiring a bit more polish
As stated above, we chose to be launching in Early Access to collect as much feedback as possible from as many players as possible as we continue to develop the game. While we worked extra hard on polishing the game and fixing bugs, the game is not quite free of them just yet.

We ask that if you have feedback to share or bugs to report, to share them to us directly using the links below.

For feedback: https://worship.fillout.com/t/u76vmzQsvLus
For bugs: https://bugs.chasingratsgames.com/

For the remainder of 2025, we’re also hosting a special contest regarding bug hunting. More details below!

Chasing Bugs Competition

CALLING EVERY WORSHIP PLAYER! We need YOU to come break our game

We’ll be hosting a contest where you’ll be submitting your craziest, funniest and wildest bugs you can find while playing our game. The prize? A good laugh and you might win some exclusive merch in exchange if the community like your submission. You read that right!

Rules

Everyday for the first week, then every week until the end of July, and then once a month until December, a new thread will open up in a specially designed Chasing Bugs thread. After the time period is over, a winner will be picked from your submissions via votes from the community and the thread will close. The official rules and schedule for the contest will be included in the Discord Thread. Look up for #chasing-bugs in our Server!

The bugs reported have to be from Worship’s current Steam version (obviously ;) ).

We hope the community will have a good time despite the shaky state of multiplayer while we are hard at work making it more stable. The goal for this contest is to submit funny bugs clips, not bug reports! If you just want to report bugs to us, use the regular forms here: https://bugs.chasingratsgames.com/

The contest is open to everyone, not just backers!

To Participate

Submit your bugs in the unlocked daily/weekly/monthly thread in #chasing-bugs with a picture/Gif/video!
To be eligible for participation, you have to send visuals. We need the funny for people to react. And proof the bug happened!

VOTE! 🫵

We need the community (that’s you!) to vote for the funniest bugs! A special reaction will be created to pick the winner, but feel free to react away with your most unhinged Discord emotes! Voting is open to everyone, even if you haven’t submitted a bug!

The Prize

If you win, you’ll be granted a special role in our Discord Server to highlight your talents as amazing bug hunters as well as one of the following options:

- An additional copy of Worship;
- A very exclusive, limited edition Worship merch™.
Said limited-edition merch will be revealed on Discord later today!

You can win one of each rewards, but after that, we’ll be distributing the rewards to second place, third place, etc if they also have won all the possible rewards.

We still encourage people to submit their bugs at https://bugs.chasingratsgames.com/, but participation in this contest is totally optional. Your participation will not be counted if you only submit your bugs through the link above.

For bugs you find that you can’t reproduce or can’t snap pictures or videos of because they’re rare, we recommend that you submit them through https://bugs.chasingratsgames.com/, as any submission there goes straight into our workflow. Anything helps us in the grand scheme of bug fixing!

Closing Words

Thats it for now! We just took a major step regarding the project and we’re super excited to finally see you get your hands on the game!

If you enjoyed your experience, be sure to leave a positive review on Steam as every single one of them helps Steam recommend it to more people! We’ll send a reminder later in the week for this.

Enjoy your time bringing forth chaos and evil in the world of Worship!

Sincerely,
- The Chasing Rats Team
