First dev log of 2026, Happy New Year! January has been quite a busy month for us - our team just got back from the holidays and are ready to deliver the next major piece of content to all of you!
The next major patch is scheduled to launch very soon, so buckle up and check out what’s new in the upcoming version!
The upcoming Gene System, as teased in the roadmap previously, is at the centerpiece of the next major update. It marks our exploration and experiment within the farming gameplay and therefore, we would like our players to give it a try and provide your valuable feedback!
The Gene System in Doloc Town unlocks a whole new branch of tech tree, ensuring players will be deeply integrated with the system from early gameplay all the way to the late game.

In the Gene System, players will get the chance to research seeds and uncover the secrets of DNA!
Discover genes, duplicate genes, synthesize genes! Breed your very own unique genetic seeds to overcome the ever-changing and harsh apocalyptic weather.
And who knows what other unexpected discoveries await? (Look! Is that mushroom glowing? :)
Finally, the building system in our farm is getting a massive upgrade!
Were you constantly frustrated by the Construction Controller in late game - when your farm is packed with buildings, leaving you no room to relocate anything?
In the upcoming update, with the brand new temporary placement feature lets you sit back, relax and rearrange your farm exactly how you want it - no more hassle!
After the patch, you can right-click buildings in the Construction Controller interface to store them in a temporary slot on the right. Whether you’re crafting your ideal farm layout or making space for future update buildings, you can now do it with ease!
As we celebrate the new year in real life, Doloc town, the small town nestled in the river valley, is also celebrating its very own unique New Year event - the Long Night Festival!
Join the townies and spend a holiday filled with warmth and joy~
This festival will last for 7-days straight, from cleaning and decorating the town of Doloc, to honoring ancestors, bidding farewell to the past, and welcoming the new year in the Long Light Festival Eve.
A series of rituals and activities will bring the townsfolk together to share in the amazing holiday spirit in the apocalypse!
For players especially, you will also get the chance to obtain a full set of traditional mortise and tenon style furniture.
