Hi everyone!
Long time no see - and first of all, sorry for going quiet for so long. We’ve had our heads down working on Magin, dealing with all kinds of problems. A lot has been happening behind the scenes, so it’s really good to be back here with some news.
After all the ups and downs, we’re in the final stretch of preparing Magin: The Rat Project Stories for THE launch and are working closely with our publisher to line everything up for a simultaneous release across platforms. We still can’t drop the exact date just yet, but the goal is a 2026 launch, and most of our time right now is going into builds, certification, and making sure the game lands in the best shape we can manage.
Right now, Magin will be taking part in #TurnBasedThursdayFest 2026 - starting on Monday. During the festival, you’ll be able to download and play the demo here on Steam, so if you’ve been watching the project for a while, this is a great moment to jump in (or revisit it).
On top of polishing the core adventure and deck-building, we’re finishing up console versions, store pages, and special editions that include the artbook and soundtrack. For platforms like Nintendo Switch, that also means in-game viewers so you can check out the artbook and soundtrack directly on your console once you own those extras. In a matter of days and weeks, we'll be sharing new teasers and trailers and hopefully the date announcements with you!
If you want more frequent updates than we’ve been posting here (we learned our lesson!), you can:
Follow our development posts on Kickstarter, where we share behind-the-scenes updates and progress reports.
Join our Discord server to hang out, ask questions, and chat directly with us and other Magin enjoyers.
Thanks a lot for sticking with us through the quiet period and for all the support so far - we’re really excited to finally bring Magin home and can’t wait to show you more soon.
