In case you just stumbled upon this devlog, I am Adrienne, also known as insertdisc5! I am the creator of timeloop RPG In Stars and Time, and now am working on my next game, memory visual novel Truth Scrapper. Itās gonna be a good one.
This month, I did a couple rewrites and did some arts and crafts.
I might've mentioned this before, but Truth Scrapper has been interesting in that I keep rewriting old stuff. I didnāt feel super satisfied with how the mystery was unfolding, so I did some rewrites to make it more clear, and foreshadow things both more and less, and changed the pacingā¦ I feel more confident about it now, but rewrites. They Will Happen Again
To help, Iāve been watching Jane Kalmes videos after a friend recommended them. Jane Kalmes is a writer of cozy mysteries and has many videos on how to write one! It was very useful, so if youāre writing a mystery, I recommend them!
What else. Uuum. I mightāve also mentioned it, (<- game dev doesn't remember what they said) but for every day in the game, Iāve added a scene where Sosotte finds a specific, old magical object.
āSaturated Itemsā are an important part of the game, but I felt like I didnāt show enough examples, so I added a few scenes showcasing how varied they can be.
WHICH MEANS. For reasons. I needed to make them irl. Yippee

Iāve been doing some various arts and crafts to make them, which has been fun. Art-wise, I feel like Iāve been challenging myself to try some new art forms for this gameā¦ Yippeeā¦
Speaking of arts and crafts, I also did this.
Photocards of my girlsā¦ I saw those photocard holders at Torontoās Artist Alley and couldnāt resist.
And finally, since I implemented day 5, and finished my rewrites, Iām taking some producer-enforced rest. Which I immediately stopped to work on a Cool Project that is unrelated to Truth Scrapper!!!! LISTEN I LOV WORKING ON THINGS OK. anyway the Cool Project should be out before the year is over so you should follow my newsletter if you wanna see it
(reads the previous devlog) i sure said I would show more Amour this devlog. ok. um. rhhnrl. (all the images are spoilers) uuurghhr. oh i know. have a sprite from back when i was trying to make the expressions/talking (you can tell because the dialogue is my placeholder "im fucken talking dude!!!!". you are, Amour. you are)

DON'T FORGET TO WISHLIST THE GAME ALSO IT REALLY HELPS BECAUSE STEAMāS ALGORITHM IS MORE LIKELY TO SHOW OFF GAMES WITH A HIGH AMOUNT OF WISHLISTS THATS THE REASON WHY GAME DEVS ALWAYS ASK TO WISHLIST!!! OKAY BYE!!!!
