Hello friends!
We continue actively developing Falling Down XR, and today we are opening access to a new beta version for everyone who already owns the game.
The beta branch allows you to try major changes earlier than others, test new mechanics, report bugs, and help us make the final release as stable as possible.
What’s new in the beta version
This is essentially a completely new game!
The following scenes are currently included:
Bullet Subway
You find yourself inside a speeding train.
Your goal is to reach the front car and stop the train before it crashes — while fighting through aggressive zombies blocking your path.
Tower of Fear
A fully reworked arena with new gameplay mechanics.
Wild West
Improved visuals, atmosphere and refined combat feel.
CubicCity
Now a full-fledged VR platformer, with a focus on fast horizontal movement and dynamic navigation.
General improvements
Significant optimization of levels and lighting
New audio and visual effects
Many bug fixes, improved interaction with objects
Preparation for a large upcoming content update
Ahead of us lie 8 more VR arenas, each conceptually unique!
How to access the beta
Open your Steam Library
Find Falling Down XR, right-click → Properties
Open the Betas tab
Select the branch:
preview (Preview new version)The game will automatically update to the beta build.
Why the beta branch exists
It allows you to:
test new mechanics before the official release
help find rare and difficult bugs
speed up major updates
directly influence the final look and feel of the game
One important note
When exiting the game, a short Google feedback form will open once.
Please forgive the surprise — filling it out is anonymous, quick, and very helpful for improving the new version.
