Version 1.1 of Winter Heat is here! We've made a LOT of changes since last update, the previous updates involved a lot of first week bug fixing (we released 5 versions during that first week), so now we've been up to the actual fun updates! Along with lots of bug fixes and QOL improvements. Some of the smaller changes include:
Made all the menus fancier
Upgraded the header on those menus
Made the save menu blue and added a note to avoid confusion on what menu you're in
Fixed some image errors
Updated controller support (Most apps should work correctly now!)
Made the Cawmix reader a little better
Added a new comic for the Cawmix app
And too many other little UI adjustments to be worth listing here but sure enough the whole game should look 20% nicer now.
But most importantly of all... ACHIEVEMENTS ARE HERE!
A new menu button has appeared and it's for the achievements, or Awards as the game calls them. A number of awards have been added on both the Steam and itch.io versions so you can check your achievements in-game.
There's a few more achievements to come, since there's a lot of content still to come.
As for our biggest piece of side content, Oomfie RPG is making good progress, too! It's not in this update, but it should be released before you know it. The day of the oomf is getting very close, so stick around!
Also, we're getting closer to fulfilling some of the Kickstarter bonus rewards, for anyone who backed the project last summer--some of those will eventually be made available to the public, paid, but some lucky players will be getting it for free in a few months.
