Due to the EXTREMELY low amount of sales The Croaker has generated in the past 3 months and the lack of overall uniqueness the game has, I believe it will be the correct decision to stop working on updates for The Croaker for the forseeable future. The official date for The Croaker's end of life (The date where it will no longer recieve updates afterwards) will be April 20th, 2026 (Exactly 2 years after being released on Steam).
The only reason development on such a non-unique game has continued to take place is because of how fun I found it to work on. But recently, I'm just getting tired of it. I don't really see any reason to continue working on it anymore. I haven't even touched the game in 26 days.
There might be one or two updates before then, but I really don't see any point in releasing any updates with the amount of units being refunded and the lack of hype from everybody.
I'm extremely sorry to everyone who paid for the game. This isn't the end, however; the end of life for The Croaker signals the start of a new game in development shortly. I already have so many ideas and I think it will be infinitely better and more unique than The Croaker ever was.
Thank you all for playing The Croaker while it lasted :)
