An Important Update Regarding the Release Date

Hey everyone.

We’ve got some important news to share about Honeycomb: The World Beyond. After a lot of careful thought, we’ve decided to move the release window to the first quarter of 2026. We know that’s not what anyone wanted to hear, but it’s the right call for the game - we want to give ourselves the time needed to make sure Sota7 feels every bit as alive, rich, and captivating as we’ve imagined.

It’s been a long road, and we’re finally entering the polishing stage - that last stretch where everything starts to come together. Your patience and encouragement mean more than you know, and we’d like to show you a bit of what’s been happening behind the scenes.

The World is Evolving

Sota7 is evolving fast. The planet’s environments are getting their finishing touches - denser flora, new biomes, locations and subtle details that make every single one of them stand out. The goal is simple: to make every corner of the map feel distinct and worth exploring.

And yes, the wildlife is growing too. The Nango is officially joining all the other fauna that make the world feel busy, unpredictable, and alive in small but meaningful ways.

Upgrading Your Toolkit

Survival on Sota7 isn’t just about nature - it’s also about the technology that keeps you going. The Drone Scout has been upgraded with a more robust second version, expanding its scanning range and usefulness in the field.

Meanwhile, the hoverboard has received some much-needed love, including new visual effects and improved animations that make gliding across the landscape smoother and more satisfying.

Even smaller quality-of-life tweaks are finding their way in - for example, underground deposits are now more visible and better integrated into the environment, making exploration more intuitive and rewarding.

Bringing It All to Life

Our animation pipeline has been busier than ever. Both Hennessy and the various crafting devices are getting brand-new animations to add fluidity and detail to how the world responds to you. It’s a quiet but crucial layer of polish that helps the game feel truly alive - the difference between something that moves, and something that simply exists.

And for those of you who love sharing your adventures, Photomode is coming along beautifully. It’s evolving from a developer tool into a full-fledged creative playground, with poses, filters, lighting adjustments, and even stickers for the perfect cinematic or goofy shot. We’ve already been having a lot of fun with it internally.

Wrapping Things Up

Delays are never easy, but they give us what matters most - time to make Honeycomb: The World Beyond the experience it deserves to be. The progress we’ve made in the last few months has been tremendous, and the next steps are all about refinement and heart. If you want some even deeper insight into everything we've been working on so far, check out our stream as well.

Thank you for continuing to believe in us.

Remember to check out our socials and join our Discord if you want to keep yourself up to date.

Stay safe, stay curious, and we’ll see you soon - out there, in the world beyond.

~ The Frozen Way Team
