# A Letter to Everyone from Ai Love

Dear everyone,

This is 某刘某 from Ritsuai Works.

As you can see, this is a letter. First and foremost, I want to thank the Staff and Cast who participated in the game's development, everyone who helped me, and most of all, you—who are reading this right now.

This is 某刘某 from Ritsuai Works.

As you can see, this is a letter. First and foremost, I want to thank the Staff and Cast who participated in the game's development, everyone who helped me, and most of all, you—who are reading this right now.

Two years, over 700 days. That's the development cycle of this game, Ai Love, and also the time I've spent in the great place 淄博. And Ai Love is the "report card" I've worked on for these two years.

I hope this report card is "passable" in your eyes, the "grader" behind the screen. If you're willing to slow down and read this letter, and even install the game to play for a few minutes—whether you leave a positive or negative review—then for me, that's already a success.

Because I know this work has no real competitiveness in essence;

Because I know I've let down the expectations of many;

Because I know even though I'd essentially failed, there were still people waiting for this game to launch.

Countless times I wanted to give up, yet countless times I picked the project back up and kept going. And as you all know, the final outcome—this once "tattered and broken" project slowly took shape, became Ai Love, and finally landed in your hands.

So, thank you—thank you for clicking in and experiencing this game, even if you roughly guessed how it might turn out.

This game would not exist without those who still maintain the Kirikiri community in Mainland China. Whether it's D大, the author of the NVL Maker template used in this game, or the seniors who still keep the Kirikiri Bar community alive.

For a while, the Simplified Chinese community hasn't had a relatively complete krkr work in terms of programming—especially in the independent creation community. So when I received the notice that the game had passed review and could be launched, one of the seniors from Kirikiri Bar—who is also one of my mentors, 紫姐—jokingly said:

"国G黄埔军校最喜庆的一天。"

Even though Kirikiri is now facing a "gap between generations" (a shortage of new blood), the domestic krkr community is still supported by a group of reliable seniors—I consider myself very lucky.

So, thank you to these seniors—a large part of the in-game functions were created with their direct or indirect guidance. Without you, this game would never have come to be.

Thank you to Harmony Hall. I don't quite know what to say—all the music in this game is the output and legacy of Harmony Hall, as the studio disbanded at the end of 2022.

Fortunately, thanks to the studio's consistent high standards, we still obtained high-quality audio sources, including those that meet Hi-res standards. In the end, we produced *Ai Love Soundtrack* that meets high audio quality standards.

Moreover, even though the studio has been disbanded for two years, 乌拉—its long-term collaborative musician—still kindly took charge of writing the lyrics for the game's theme song as a favor.

So, thank you to Harmony Hall and 乌拉—without their efforts, this game would not have such competitive music.

This game will officially launch on August 25th, and this day also happens to be the birthday of Teacher 三七二十三, the voice actor for the character Wu Xiaohan in this game.

First of all, happy birthday to Teacher 三七二十三! Unfortunately, I don't have much to give you—finally, I used the computing power of my computer to generate a background image for you.

After all, all the voice actors for this work did this *out of passion* (for the love of the project). Every voice actor supported the game's production in their spare time. I feel truly sorry for taking up your spare time; what's more, due to my own lack of ability, I am fully aware that I failed to fully bring out the true capabilities of each teacher—and for that, I feel even more sorry…

So, thank you to all the voice actors for your generous support. It is your help that has enriched the content of this game!

Now, what is the point of this letter, after all?

That's right—it does not mean an end. Because I will keep moving forward.

Thank you to the Staff—I hope we can collaborate again in the future;

Thank you to the seniors who helped me—on my Kirikiri journey, I would not have been able to create a "passable" game without you;

Thank you to all the players—I hope you will continue to support Ritsuai Works, because I have long decided to devote all my energy to creating the next *real* work!

My philosophy for making games is simple: to let players open the game happily and close it happily. That's all there is to it.

I can't bear to see a system framework with enough functions "retire" like this—I haven't made enough of it yet! There are still so many jokes and gags I haven't put in!

Not a total defeat desuwa!

Finally, let me end with the lyrics from the game's theme song:

“风走过 天空才会泪流。”

“爱上你 才敢毫无保留。”

After all, I haven't admitted that I've failed yet.
