Dragon Dinner Demo · published
After reading your feedback and many requests, it’s finally here: the Kitchen rework now allows you to stack orders!
Along with this change, many other improvements are included in this update. Here’s what’s new:
The chef can now handle multiple orders at once.
You can request more than one plate at a time.
Orders are automatically managed and delivered to the kitchen counter.
Default max stacked orders: 2. Can be increased up to 4 with skills.
This should reduce bottlenecks during busy rush hours and help you with memory.
The kitchen has also been split into 3 clearer interactions:
Interact to order food
Interact to give dirty plates
Interact to grab cooked food
Notebook Mode now gives you more time to attend clients.
Drinks are easier to differentiate: updated meshes so they now have different shapes, not just colors.
Cleaning tables: If your tray has enough space, multiple cleaning actions are done in a single interaction. Larger tables take longer, but it’s much faster than cleaning one by one.
If an interaction can be done multiple times, a UI counter number is shown instead of duplicating cards. Improves readability.
Controls improved: interaction options no longer auto-close after every action (except when the tray is full or no more actions are available). This reduces unnecessary clicks and makes serving smoother.
Clients now avoid each other while following the player. This makes group sizes clearer and fixes the issue where clients stacked visually on top of each other.
New skill + new client type: If you lose a life, there’s a chance to get a special end-of-day option to regain it. If selected, a special extra client will appear the next day. Complete their request correctly to recover 1 life.
Workers now fly in straight lines to their next table instead of using navmesh paths.
This makes them faster and more efficient.
Increased plants influence to tables. This means plants are effects are more noticeable.
Fixed an issue where the purple client sometimes did not show which dish they wanted.
As always, feedback is very welcome (Discord)
