APARTAMENT 1406 has been updated.
As announced earlier, I continue to return to older titles and support them with updates, regardless of sales or ratings. More updates and DLC for other games are planned.
This update focuses on system fixes, stability, and overall gameplay quality.
APARTAMENT 1406 also has future entries planned — work on PART II is slowly moving forward.
The next updates for Apartment 1406 will definitely come, but when? I don't know. I work alone; creating games is a hobby; I have a regular job.
A major systems-focused update improving fairness, balance, and stability. This update significantly reworks core gameplay logic, especially in the LAST HOPE mode, with smarter drops, clearer rules, and improved AI behavior.

Balance and behavior improvements for regular enemies
Boss logic and combat adjustments
Base drop chance increased from 50% to 65%
Added Pity Timer: guaranteed drop after 3 kills with no rewards
No empty or useless drops
HP below 40% → heal has highest priority
No weapon in inventory → weapon has highest priority
Ammo drops only for weapons you currently own
Ammo will NOT drop if you have no weapon (inventory check)
Low HP → 70% chance to drop healing
No weapon → 60% chance to drop a weapon
Weapons are available in early waves
No more useless ammo drops
Player is guaranteed to receive something at least every 3 kills
Significantly improved chances to reach wave 10
Fixed achievement tracking
Improved Steam leaderboard stability and accuracy
Improved controller support and stability
If issues occur, make sure the gamepad is manually selected in the settings
Unity-related fixes (engine stability and security)
Fixes for selected language localizations
