Greeting Ectypes! Today’s patch lays the groundwork for cross-play, streamlines joining friends, and adds tools to keep lobbies friendly. You’ll also see UI/controller polish, and a wave of bug fixes.
Cross-Play now supported! - Tech and options now in place
Join Codes - Share a short code to hop into games fast
Report & Block - Mute, hide, and auto-kick blocked players; unblock via the matchmaking terminal
Plus: host name tooltip in matchmaking, redesigned controller button icons, stacked identical rewards on tally, and lots of fixes!
We’ve enabled the core systems and UI hooks for cross-play. You may notice new options appearing in menus and matchmaking. Cross-play features will become more meaningful as we roll them out further, but the tech is now in place.
Skip the lobby browsing: the host can now share a Join Code. Enter the code to jump straight into their session - easy for friends, communities, and stream audiences.
You can now report and block other players.
Blocked players can’t message you, their rooms won’t appear in your matchmaking, and they’re auto-kicked if they try to join your session.
To unblock, open the Matchmaking Terminal and manage your blocked list.
Matchmaking: Host name now appears via tooltip
Controller: Redesigned button icons for better clarity
UI: Identical rewards are now stacked on the tally screen
Misc: Under-the-hood work toward banning features and cross-play; you may notice new options popping up here and there
Fixed long startup times when launching the game
Addressed various UI issues when using a controller
Fixed secondary tooltip sometimes sticking around
Fixed exit vector marker occasionally displaying on other markers
Fixed rare issue where a save could be deleted immediately after loading. The save will not be deleted until you perform your next void jump.
