🛠️ Important Update: Changes Based on Your Feedback

Today we want to share some updates that are being implemented effective immediately, based on the feedback we've received over the past few weeks. Your input is incredibly valuable, and we’ve been listening closely.

💬 The Issues You Raised

We've heard your concerns around:

• Pricing of DLCs
• Lack of free content
• Use of Microtransactions (VOX)

✅ What We've Done So Far

Here’s what’s already changed:

• We’ve added 14 free models, on top of the original 4, bringing the total to 18 free starter models.
• We’ve shared our content roadmap for the next two months.
• One of the new paid packs has launched.
• The free Viking Pack event!

🆕 What's Changing Today

🧩 DLC Pricing & Content

• All DLCs will now be priced at €1.99.
• Every DLC will contain 10 voxel models, providing more value for your money.
• This standardized format will apply to all future DLCs.

We're also committed to upgrading all existing DLCs to meet this new standard. Our team is working diligently to ensure that every previously released DLC pack is updated to include a total of 10 models. These upgrades to existing packs will gradually be rolled out, we'll keep you informed on our progress.​

With these changes, we aim to offer a more consistent and valuable experience for those looking to expand their collection.

What happens to existing owners of DLC?

These upgrades will be free to anyone who already has these packs.

💰 VOX Currency Changes

• You can no longer buy VOX through the store.
• VOX is now earned by completing models. We will introduce new ways to earn VOX in the future (hoping to share more on this soon)
• VOX-only packs are temporarily being removed. If you've already purchased one, you keep it.

The new role of VOX is simple: it will be used to unlock individual models from the in-game shop that aren't part of any DLC pack.

This opens up multiple paths to getting new models, whether through free content, packs, or the VOX shop.

What happens to existing VOX holders?

With VOX now earnable only through gameplay, your existing balance gives you a headstart to the exclusive models in the shop. As we roll out new content in the shop, your VOX will be a valuable asset.​

🎨 Early Access Game Content Overview

Here’s how you’ll be able to get content moving forward:

• Regularly adding free models to the game through events/collabs
• Individual models available in the in-game Shop (using VOX)
• Optional DLC packs with 10 models for €1.99

🧊UI Overhaul Update

We're thrilled to roll out a major UI update in Color a Cube designed to streamline navigation and improve your overall experience:

• New Collection Screen: Players are now brought directly to the Collection screen when starting the game. This new hub displays all your acquired models in a clean, easy-to-navigate layout, giving you quick access to your growing library.
• Revamped Shop Interface: The in-game shop has been completely redesigned for improved clarity and usability. 🧾 Items are now organized into clear categories, making it easier to browse and discover new content.
• News Tab: Stay in the loop with the new News tab! Here, you'll find the latest updates, announcements, and insights into ongoing development—so you’re always informed about what’s coming next in Color a Cube.
• Settings Tab: A dedicated Settings tab has been added, allowing you to easily customize your gameplay experience with access to controls, audio options, and other configurations.

🎉 More Free Events & A Special Collaboration

We're committed to keeping things fresh with regular free events. Following the success previous events, we're excited to announce our first collaboration: Dave the Diver!​

In this special event, you'll have the opportunity to color exclusive voxel models inspired by the underwater adventures of Dave the Diver. Dive into the depths and bring vibrant life to these unique creations.​

We're dedicated to expanding Color-A-Cube with both free and paid content, ensuring everyone has a variety of fun, cozy models to color. As a small indie team, we're working hard to increase the amount of content available. Our goal is that, by the time Color-A-Cube reaches its full release, we've delivered a substantial collection of content for all to enjoy.​
