It has been a busy few weeks on the rails!

Since the 1.0 launch, we’ve been hard at work rolling out updates, fixes, and improvements based on what we have been seeing and hearing from the community. Thank you again for jumping in so quickly and putting the game through its paces. It has been incredibly helpful!

Across a handful of patches, we have focused on smoothing out rough edges, improving stability, and making moment-to-moment gameplay feel better across the board.

On the gameplay side, managing your fleet is now more flexible. Locomotives can be replaced or upgraded at any station along their route, and scrapping old engines now returns part of their cost; a small change, but one that should make long-term planning feel a lot smoother.

Multiplayer has also seen a number of improvements. AI players are now a bit more considerate and will avoid turning your stations into traffic nightmares. Cooperative play has been expanded with features like the Mutual Aid Fund. Players can also now earn money when others use their tracks or stations. Finally, you have more control over whether your locomotives use other players’ rail networks now!We have also made several quality of life improvements. Relocating your office building is now possible when laying tracks, additional sound effects have been added, and the railroad removal tool has been refined to work per single track by default. Small changes, but ones that should make day-to-day building and managing feel smoother.Of course, a big part of these updates has been fixes. We have addressed issues across campaign chapters, scenario generation, pathfinding, UI behavior, and building availability. From trains behaving more reliably on complex routes to cities consuming the right goods, to making sure objectives and progression work as intended, a lot of under-the-hood improvements have gone in.

We have also continued to improve localization across multiple updates. If certain feedback or fixes haven’t made it into the game yet, they haven’t been skipped, but likely need more time and careful consideration to get right. This is an ongoing process, so we’ll continue to monitor feedback, reports, and discussions closely, improving Railroad Corporation 2 step by step.

Please keep sharing your thoughts with us. We’re reading your feedback!
