Greetings Survivors!
This update brings a new DLC with an all new map, The Mountain! Complete with 4 forage locations, 20+ new cards and an all new unique warmth system. Priced at 5.99 USD, this map is meant to be a harder survival experience, so working together and communicating is key! I had a lot of fun making this DLC, and I hope you enjoy playing it. As with the Island Curse DLC only the host needs to own The Mountain to play on it. However, the DLC does also include 3 new skins to use, and you will need to own it to use them.

I would also like to say a big thank you to everyone who has played the game thus far. (And thanks for 200 steam reviews!). Working on this game has been a lot of fun and it has been super cool to see people play, leave reviews, make videos, and join in community play events. The game reached a lot more people than I thought it would with just over 40,000 lifetime unique users and hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube. So again thank you <3. That all being said, this will be the last major update for Betrayal Beach. (There may be a few more smaller patches with fixes and tweaks though). I originally only intended to work on it for another 2 months after release but 7 months later here we are. But stay tuned! I'm in the early prototyping phase of my next project and will be announcing it here when It's ready.

Patch Notes

The Mountain Map

• Has 4 forage locations: The Cave, Mountainside, Valley and Lake.
• New resource Clay. Similar to plants, stone and wood. Used for night events and some crafting.
• New resource Kindling. Used for restoring warmth at the campfire.
• More new unique cards waiting to be discovered.
• New cards, craftables, events, hazards and more!
• 3 new skins.
• 2 new achievements.

Warmth

• Only on The Mountain Map
• Various hazards, night events, or failing to add kindling to the new fire may reduce your warmth.
• Lower warmth will reduce your maximum health, freezing over up to 3 slots.
• Raising your warmth back up via adding kindling to the fire or a few special cards will return your max health.
• When a health slot is frozen if it was full that health will be stored, and can be restored once warmth returns.

Misc Other

• New map tab in game settings used to change what map will be played on.
• New 'Useful' card tag, this will count as any resource when added to the stockpile.
• Survivor ghosts will now get a 'Useful' card instead of 1 of each resource.
• New guidebook page on warmth.
• Tabs to quickly swap to rules or roles in guidebook.
• Various tweaks, fixes and small details.
