Added Tyles
Tyles are a newly added item which can be used to augment both player versus player and player versus computer matches.
To begin with, all players will use an Empty Tyle for their first match. Playing with more and more heavily influenced tyles will unlock higher levels of tyles which can hold even more modifiers.
Tyles augment both you and your opponent.
Runes are a newly added currency rewarded from matches which can be used to craft and modify tyles.
Runes have a variety of different functions and ways to interact with tyles. The current swathe of runes is fairly basic, but more and more runes and crafting materials will be released in future updates.
Tyle powder is a newly added currency which can be rewarded from matches or acquired by destroying unwanted tyles.
Tyle powder can be crafted into random tyles of set levels or a number of random runes.
Added match rewards.
Both players receive rewards at end of match:
Winning awards a gold chest.
Losing awards a silver chest.
Added Daily match rewards.
Daily Win timer resets after 24hrs.
Added animations for pieces when played, moved, hovered, and fortified.
Added animations for tiles being claimed.
Fixes
Fixed a number of UI and component issues across the game.
Adjusted data communication pipelines across the game for optimization and eliminating redundancy.
Fixed match related errors resulting in unrecoverable matches / lost matches when disconnects occurred under certain circumstances.
A bit of time for this update was spent on investigating and fixing some of the primary hurdles for both touchscreen / mobile support and controller support. There has been some significant development done for the mobile side of things however the auth pipeline is currently a major hurdle.
This update may have a few more bugs / changes that will be needed immediately proceeding, however in the interest of simply getting updates out on a regular cadence, this update is stable enough for larger testing.
Fixed a bug where non-max grade tyles were able to promote to the next level of tyle.
Fixed a bug where the in-game info panel when hovering tyles would sometimes occupy the entire height of the screen.
Added clarifying text to Rune of Might, Rune of Strength, Rune of Conquest, Rune of Challenge, Rune of Modesty, and Rune of Humility that details the required minimum tyle level to be applied.
Added color to play menu tyle selection modifiers to denote prefix (green) and suffix (red).
Fixed an issue where winning matches with a given tyle level would sometimes award a tyle of a lower level.
