Greetings, travelers!
This update and the next one are focused on improving the onboarding experience and the overall feel of the game. In upcoming updates, you can expect changes to the Tutorial and further balance adjustments.
Huge thanks for all your feedback!
All Toji added in the previous major update will finally receive their artwork. Let us know which one you like the most!
Some UI windows now feature additional visual indicators to help you understand what needs to be done more quickly.
When cards give each other buffs or debuffs to their stats, you will now see small red and green arrows showing which effect was applied, making it easier to read the flow of combat.
New mechanic: Withering — Starting from round 10, both the player and the opponent will begin taking damage, which increases every round. This should prevent runs from being slowed down by overly long battles, while still giving you plenty of strategic room. You can learn more about the mechanic by hovering over the round counter.
Experience for participating in battle. Tojimons will no longer gain 1 XP for each round they were on the field. Now, all Toji — even those who never entered the battlefield — will receive 3 XP at the end of a fight. This makes leveling your core team a bit harder, but it becomes easier to grow alternative card setups for tough situations.
