Ichigo can inflict Lacerate+ with all of his attacks apart from his strong attacks, allowing him to prevent his enemies from using their strong attacks while dealing continuous damage. As a "+" type status ailment, Lacerate+ can be stacked with other status ailments, maximizing the impact of status effects.
With the EX Skill "EX (Team/Party) Normal Attack Damage +20%" Ichigo can boost the normal attack damage of his allies, but when his Soul Traits and skills are added to this, he can boost his own normal attack by a huge 115%.
His first strong attack has a minor boost effect for his allies that is amplified by "Booster" and "Enhancer," which prolongs the effects for the same length as the strong attack's cooldown time, meaning he can keep the boost applied the entire time he is fighting.
Plus, with the healing effect of his second strong attack he can restore the Stamina of not just himself, but the whole party. By making use of the newly introduced Barrier Boost, which provides two more barriers than a regular barrier technique, he can protect himself with five barriers and his whole team with another three. This makes Ichigo immensely valuable as a support character.
Thanks to "(Team/Party) Damage to Status Ailment-Afflicted Enemies +20%" and "(Team/Party) Soul Reaper Damage to Status Ailment-Affected Enemies +30%" a team including Ichigo can deal devastating damage to enemies already on the back foot with a status ailment affliction, even more so if they're a team of Soul Reapers.
On top of the Soul Trait "Normal attack damage +35%," he can share the EX Skill "EX (Team/Party) Normal Attack Damage +20%" if he is used in the first link slot. This makes him highly effective as a character link for normal attack-focused characters.
With Hollow Killer+ and "Poison Resistance 200%," Ichigo shines as a non-controlled character in Guild Quests with Hollow Killer and increased melee damage rules.

Renji's second strong attack has a healing technique and a boost technique that is amplified by "Booster" and "Enhancer," greatly enhancing Renji and his allies by improving both their offensive and defensive capabilities. Additionally, his healing technique is boosted by the skills "Medic" and "Healer," allowing him to heal all of the members of the party.
Thanks to "(Team/Party) Strong Attack Damage +20%" and "(Team/Party) Special Move Damage +20%" he is particularly useful when teamed up with strong attack-focused characters.
