We hope October is treating you well! Things are going great on our side—especially today, as we take another important step towards the launch of AlcheMice: you can now join our closed playtest! This may come as a surprise, considering we opened our Steam page just a month ago.
These are difficult times for indie devs: we're on the verge of the mighty Steam Next Fest, followed by Halloween, Black Friday season, and finally, the long-awaited Christmas holidays. We want our roguelite deckbuilder to officially release on Steam at some point of 2026. And before that happens, we need to test AlcheMice with real players to polish it before the launch of a public demo.
This playtest will be available until October 31st, and you'll need to meet a few requirements to participate. Here’s everything you need to know.
The closed playtest event will be exclusive to members of our Discord server. We'll handle access requests, support tickets, and solve any questions about AlcheMice’s features or universe from there.
Once you’ve joined, head to the #early-playtest⚙️🕹️ channel to request access. We’ll gather the requests received between today and tomorrow, and respond to all of them as soon as possible. As we'll handle this process manually, we'll kindly ask you to be patient.

In AlcheMice, you’ll join Tycoh on a three-day, three-night journey across the dangerous streets of Gran-Adah. The time loop will restart at dawn of the fourth day due to Gusparda's curse, but all the resources you keep from your previous run (cards, ingredients, recipes) will stay with you. That's how progression works in the game!
The playtest version will let you experience all core game features, along with a small selection of the cards, materials, and recipes available in the final version.
Lastly, this will be your first foray into the world of AlcheMice. The cinematics, maps, cards, enemies, and soundtrack have all been crafted with great care so you can fully immerse in the role of our brave alchemist, Tycoh, and feel the call of adventure.
AlcheMice is a tribute to the mystical past of our beloved Granada—a city that underwent major political and cultural transformations between the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The fascination with alchemical myths flourished in that context, becoming a pursuit of knowledge about the nature of human mortality and how to purify our imperfections.

Once you’ve played, we’ll ask you to fill out a short survey. You should be able to access the form from the main menu of the game. This step is very important to us—not only to detect bugs and find areas for improvement, but also to understand how you felt about the overall gameplay experience.
At the end of the form, there'lll be a field for open questions just in case there's anything else you want to ask. Your contributions will help us create a future Frequently Asked Questions post here on Steam, so stay tuned!
Remember that joining our Discord community is a mandatory requirement to access the closed playtest. Also, feel free to explore our public channels and chat a bit with other fellow alchemists! We recently started posting a bunch of weekly content on ancient alchemy texts that you might like to check ✨🐭
Thank you once again for supporting the project, Gran-Adah welcomes you!
Have a great week,
Red Mountain Games
