Hello again, acolytes of Tabal. We’re back with new updates on Catechesis and a special surprise for Yuppie Psycho fans.

NEW TEASER TRAILER

NEW DEVLOG

Development Progress

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been running private playtests of the first three dungeons in Catechesis. Feedback has been very positive, especially around progression and combat. However, the early difficulty curve was too steep, so we’re adjusting that to make the experience more welcoming. Whether you enjoy action or exploration, the progression system lets you tailor the game to your playstyle.

Skill Trees

The skill tree is powered by demon blood, a resource earned from defeating enemies. It can be spent at Tabalist altars to unlock new skills and level up. If Daniel dies before using it, you’ll need to retrieve the blood from where you fell. Very similar to Souls games. Other collectibles like hearts, bones, and eyes improve healing and faith abilities, helping you stay alive longer.

Characters

At the heart of the game is Daniel’s church, where his eccentric grandfather Don Ezequiel serves as priest. When Ezequiel falls ill, Daniel’s quest begins. Alongside him are characters like Mrs. Cordelia, a sharp-tongued family friend with a deep connection to the church’s past.

I know this game is taking forever. Thank you so much for your patience and support. This project is longer than our previous games, and it’s taking a bit more time to polish. But it will be worth the wait, I promise!

Thanks for following along. More news and surprises are coming soon.

Amen, Tabal!
