(Ironically, this is the first time we've used the Lockyz Media branding on an announcement)

Hi All!

At Lockyz Media we firmly believe that when you purchase content for personal use, you should OWN that content, not a license to that content, but the content itself.

With this, we've officially updated the Terms and Conditions for playing games we've published, along with games that are created by us and our affiliates (including but not limited to, Lockyz Dev and Robin Painter). Basically, our terms and conditions state that, once you purchase one of our games for personal use, you own it, you own the exe and other game files you've downloaded. You're free to modify our games, heck you could redistribute them if you wanted to, we don't care (as long as you don't sell them). You own the game, it's yours, do literally whatever you want with it.

Obviously there ARE some exceptions, you own the game, but the copyright and IP, and assets still belong to their respective owners, while you're free to redistribute them and do whatever else you want with them, you can't claim to own the assets, copyright or IP. You ARE free to make derivative works, but you cannot claim your work to be "official". You know, the obvious stuff.

You may have noticed I'm VERY careful to say that you own our games fully if your purchase it for personal use. That's because Commercial Use is still under a license. A license that can be purchased through Steams "Commercial License" system.

I'll include the TOS below, there's not THAT much content, I wanted to keep it as light as possible. Please make sure to actually read it instead of just clicking "accept" when you load our games next, it's very important to be fully aware of a legal contracts contents before agreeing to it.

Thanks,

Robin Painter

Lockyz Media Terms and Conditions

Last Updated: June 6 2025

Upon purchase of this game, the purchaser is granted rights based on the nature of their intended use:

Personal Use

For individual, non-commercial use, the purchaser is considered the legal owner of their copy of the game. This ownership is equivalent to owning a physical copy of a game or media—Lockyz Media and its affiliates, including but not limited to Lockyz Dev and Robin Painter, recognize such purchasers as the rightful holders of the game they have acquired.

Personal users are granted a perpetual, irrevocable right to:

Install and play the game on any compatible device they own,

Modify or alter the game for personal use,

Create and share non-commercial mods or derivative works, provided they do not infringe upon trademarks or misrepresent affiliation with Lockyz Media.

This ownership does not transfer intellectual property rights in the underlying source code or trademarks, but it does entitle the purchaser to full control over their personal copy.

Commercial Use

For commercial purposes (including resale, monetized distribution, or use in commercial products or services), purchasers are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the game, subject to additional terms which may be outlined in a separate Commercial Use Agreement or EULA. Commercial users must not distribute or publicly modify the game without prior written permission from Lockyz Media or its authorized partners.

Restrictions

Nothing in this license grants permission to use Lockyz Media trademarks, brand assets, or backend services without explicit authorization.

About 5 months at that. The most recent patch for Update One was released in that time. So you may be wondering, what's going on with the games development? Unfortunate News May the 15th I released the LAST build for Table Ball FUnity, and unfortunately, my enjoyment of game development has started to wane, I've seen it as more of a chore for a while.
