In this major update, Keyboard Warrior Simulator has received a noticeable expansion in both gameplay and atmosphere. We have updated the interface, improved localization, added support for Steam features, and expanded the battle process itself with new mechanics that make each round more intense, varied, and lively.
Among the main innovations:
updated main menu with improved navigation
return buttons from the PC, Settings, Authors panels
display of the game version in the menu
music panel with track switching, pause, and the name of the current composition
analog clock that shows real local time
improved localization update even on inactive UI panels
Special attention was paid to Steam integration:
added Steam Achievements system
added Steam Stats
added Steam Leaderboards
prepared the basis for further development of the user content system and level editor
I also made the gaming space more lively. Decorative elements on the stage now do not just stand still, but create the feeling of a real desktop:
the keyboard responds to real presses and physically moves
the phone randomly rings during the game
the microwave periodically turns on, works and turns off
small atmospheric reactions of objects have been added, enhancing the feeling of presence
The most important changes affected the combat system. New input mechanics have appeared in the game:
Special Text Types with different types of text templates
Perfect Input for completing a round without errors
Critical Keys, which give additional bonuses
Sticky Keys, which require quick reactions and increase the tension in battle
Thanks to these changes, each session has become more dynamic, and each round can feel different. This update also lays the foundation for future expansions to the game, including the development of the level editor, new progression systems and even more interactive elements.
Thank you to everyone who follows and supports the game's development. More updates are coming.
