An update to Affected Zone Tactics has been released. It includes important changes to the battle modes, matchmaking, creation of battle groups, and clan wars.
After analyzing existing AZT battle modes and matchmaking mechanism, we found it necessary to rethink them. In order to simplify the search of opponents and the creation of battle groups, we decided to combine all the players in the overall PvP Arena, which combines standard battles and clan wars. We also moved the battles with virtual opponents in single PvE mode.
PvP Arena mode works similarly to the usual balanced search, but now the options for the creation of battle groups and matchmaking expanded. You can create battle groups with clan members, clan reserve mercenaries, players from another clan (if they are not registered in the Clan Wars) or with the free players.
PvE Arena mode allows players to fight only with virtual opponents. Later the story missions and agent assignments will be added in this mode.
Group search is now located in the top menu. For PvE Arena we left the usual request list, where you can find a mate. For PvP mode group search and creation was founded on the basis of clan battle groups. So now, any battle groups can be joined at one arena - clan groups or common groups, involved in Clan Wars or not.
Clan Wars rules including rates and trophies are applied to all the battles on PVP arena. If the group is involved in Clan Wars, the fight will take place as a normal clan battle for her. For a group not involved in Clan Wars it will be a standard battle, but with the bet.
New features in creation of battle groups and matchmaking require some changes to the Clan Wars. Trophies and the generated currencies have been recalculated. Also we removed battle fees and a fixed winning reward.
Leagues are now separated from the rank - you can create battle group of any rank within your league. At the same time Glory Points are defined at the lower league or rank. For example, if the clan creates a 2nd rank group in 5th league, Glory Points are awarded on 2th league. Received currency is determined by rank.
