
We've had a busy week of improvements across Untamed Kingdom, with this update focused on gameplay balance, animal behavior, NPC improvements, the HUD, audio, lighting, world design, and overall stability.
Here is a complete overview of the changes introduced throughout the past week.
Main Menu Redesigned
The main menu has received a complete visual redesign.
New Settings UI
A new settings interface has been added to the main menu.
HUD Improvements
The in game HUD has been modified to improve readability and immersion.
Compass Added
An in game compass has been added to help players navigate the world.
Animal Mood System
Animal moods are now displayed directly on the HUD.
Mood Updates
Animal mood now properly updates based on taking damage, hunger, thirst, and body temperature.
Chat Improvements
The chat system has been fixed and will now automatically hide when not being used, preventing it from covering the screen during gameplay.
Full Animal Balance Pass
Animal statistics have been rebalanced across the roster.
Moose Balance
The Moose is currently the strongest animal in the roster, sitting approximately 8% above the Grizzly Bear in overall strength.
Stamina Regeneration
Stamina regeneration speeds have been adjusted across the animal roster.
Resting
Sitting now regenerates stamina faster, giving players a greater incentive to rest and recover.
Fox NPC Damage
Fox NPC damage has been reduced from 20% to 10%.
Swimming Areas
Swimming areas throughout the world have been fixed.
Animal Camera
Several animal camera issues have been fixed.
Scent Range Improvements
Scent detection ranges have been adjusted to provide more accurate detection distances.
Scent System Improvements
Additional improvements have been made to how the scent system detects and tracks scents throughout the world.
NPC Roaming
NPC animals can now travel throughout the full map, providing more dynamic wildlife encounters.
NPC Distribution
Approximately 20% of NPCs will remain around their initial spawn areas, while the remaining 80% will roam toward different random water sources throughout the world.
Additional NPC Spawners
Additional NPC spawners have been added throughout the map.
NPC Bears
Fixed an issue where NPC Bears would run away after being attacked.
NPC Bear Combat
NPC Bears will now properly fight back against attackers.
Increased NPC Population
More NPC wildlife has been added throughout the world.
Added eating audio.
Added drinking audio.
Added carnivore panting audio.
Fixed an issue where ambient audio would only play in one specific area of the map.
Fixed deer running footsteps.
Dense Forest Improvements
Additional dense forest areas and environmental updates have been added to the map.
Lighting Improvements
Lighting has been adjusted throughout the world to improve atmosphere and visibility.
Time of Day
The day and night cycle has been adjusted to approximately 60 minute days and 30 minute nights.
Additional Wildlife
More NPC wildlife has been added throughout the world.
Wolf Skins
New Wolf skins have been added to the game.
Night Vision
Fixed an issue causing Night Vision to function incorrectly.
Fixed several issues that could cause fatal errors.
Fixed various animal camera issues.
Fixed swimming areas throughout the world.
Fixed scent detection ranges.
Fixed NPC Bear behavior when attacked.
Fixed Night Vision.
Fixed various lighting and environmental issues.
Made additional general stability improvements.
