We're excited to bring you the latest patch notes for Update v0.4.14 - The Sewer Rat Update. This release introduces new features, improvements, and fixes to make your survival experience more thrilling and immersive. Let's dive into what's new:
New Features
Single-Player Game Pause
- You can now pause the game while in single-player mode! The entire game state will freeze when you open the menu.
Time & Weather Save States
- The game now saves the time of day and weather, ensuring your environment stays consistent when you return.
New Building Icons & Sounds
- Enhanced build menu with new icons and sounds to improve navigation and usability.
Randomized Door States
- Doors now spawn with randomized states: open, closed, locked, or destroyed.
Jank Lock Picks
- A new craftable item to deal with locked doors:
- Recipe: 1 Hammer + 2 Cans
- Craftable in the Survivor Crafting menu.
Sewer Point of Interest (POI)
Explore the dangerous new Sewer POI, featuring:
Dweller Zombies
Mutated zombies with new animations & meshes that are covered in radiation poisoning.
Radiated Water
Beware of the toxic water, complete with a radiation screen effect.
Torch Interactions
Light up wall torches using wood to navigate dark areas.
New Trader & Store
Lumen Lighting Effects
Improved post-processing effects for a more immersive lighting experience.
Fixes & Improvements
Collision Issues on Main Level
Fixed problematic collisions for smoother gameplay.
Removed Halloween Decorations
Skeletons, webs, pumpkins, and Halloween-themed assets have been cleared away.
AI Navigation Upgrades
Improved navigation mesh allows zombies to climb stairs and follow you to new areas.
Trader Menu Fixes
Corrected a few item icons for better clarity and usability in trader menus.
Pause System Edge-Case Fixes
Adjustments made to ensure the pause system works flawlessly in single-player mode, even when loading or saving.
Weather & Time Save Bug Fix
Resolved issues with weather and time state not saving/loading properly.
