Foxlore's Kickstarter has officially concluded successfully!

Foxlore's Kickstarter was a huge success! And by huge, I mean we over TRIPLED our funding goal! 🎉

I want to thank everyone who contributed, I really appreciate it! Thanks to your contributions, the Steam fees, Gamemaker license, and cover art have been covered! Along with this, the rest is going towards OST development and other areas to make Foxlore a great game.

I want to thank particularly Mark "Angus Cormac" Leonard and "Kiwibro" for having the largest pledges!

Devlog #1 - Map Design

With the success of the Kickstarter, I'd like to drop the first devlog for Foxlore! I've been committed working hard on the game between college and work. And it's been coming along really smoothly!

Map design has been the biggest focus over the past few months. I want to make sure that the art and the environment are consistent and quality. I want to make the world feel like it is alive!

Scurrying mice, as an example of creating the feeling the world is alive.

Foxlore has a semi-open world model for its exterior areas. The point of the game is to explore and find clues to solve the mysteries that unfold as Filo goes on his adventure. While there is a linear objective-line to the story, you'll miss out on a lot if you don't stray from it a bit and explore!

I also want to ensure that the game accurately reflects the environment of the Midwest/rust belt area. While the game takes place in a fictional world, this is definitely the heart of inspiration for the game's atmosphere!

Overall, I've had a great time designing the maps for Foxlore and I'm excited that i've moved on to coding interactions and cutscenes. After this stage is completed, I can move into marketing and then get a firm release date!

Thanks again to everyone for supporting my first game!

Community25 Jun 2026Foxlore is now FREE! + A personal goodbye.Hey guys, it's been a bit! I've decided to make Foxlore free since it has been a bit over a year since I released it and I want everyone possible to experience this game. This also comes with the news I will likely no longer be developing games. As I've gotten older and become a "functional" adult this hobby has kind of fallen off the side. I was planning on making a sequel to the game. If you…News31 May 2025FOXLORE IS OUT NOW!FOXLORE IS OFFICIALLY OUT NOW!
