Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun · published 2 years ago

We've released a brand new patch alongside the new DLC Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun - Forges Of Corruption Expansion, so read on below to see what we've added. We are excited that we were able to add 2 highly requested features from players - Horde Mode and a Navigation Guide!

Main Features

  • 💀HORDE MODE: We’ve added a free Horde Mode for all players. How long can you survive against the onslaught of heretics and daemons?
  • 🧭NAVIGATION GUIDE: Even the Emperor’s finest sometimes get lost. We’ve added a new Navigation Guide that, when activated, shows your next objective and a recommended route to reach it.
The guide appears for a few seconds by default, but can be toggled to always display by enabling Options > Gameplay > Toggle Navigation Guide. By default the Navigation Guide is bound to N on PC, Back on Xbox, the Touchpad on PlayStation, and to - on Nintendo Switch.
  • 🏆NEW ACHIEVEMENTS/TROPHIES: Horde Mode comes with three new Achievements/Trophies to unlock
  • 🐛BUG FIXES AND IMPROVEMENTS: We’ve fixed numerous issues and made quality of life improvements - see full notes below

QoL Improvements

  • Added a new Navigation Guide. This shows your next objective and a recommended route to reach it.
  • Added a new Option in Accessibility for “Chainsword Cutting Mode”. This can now be set to the following:
    1. Repeated Tap: repeatedly press the input to maintain cutting mode (default setting)
    2. Hold Input: hold down the input to maintain cutting mode
    3. No Input (Automatic): no input is needed to maintain cutting mode (after initiating the chainsword lunge)
  • To celebrate our new Forges of Corruption DLC, we’ve added a new main menu background. This is available to all players, whether you own the DLC or not, and can be set in the Options menu (Accessibility > Main Menu Background)
  • Added two new control schemes: Alternate Controller Layouts 6 and 7
  • Made improvements to various screens and UI in the game
  • Added a confirmation requirement when setting the Screen Mode in Options
  • Improved Aura of Doom visual effects so they don’t obscure the screen as much

Bug Fixes

General

  • Numerous text corrections and improvements in multiple languages
  • Performance and stability improvements and crash fixes across multiple levels
  • Fixed the Charge ability not working when stood on specific types of scenery

Chapter 1

  • Sector Imperialis: Fixed an issue where an enemy spawned in a wall, which made it difficult to get 100% enemy kills on this level
  • Sector Imperialis: Fixed an issue where the player can end the final encounter without killing both Chaos Terminators
  • Silent Martyrs: Fixed a collision issue in the Red Key room
  • Forbidden Knowledge: Fixed an issue where the player can get stuck in a wall during the boss encounter

Chapter 2

  • Canyon Magrails: Fixed an issue where a Screamer of Tzeentch would not pursue the player
  • Sanctum Manufactorum: Fixed an issue where Ambulls could not enter part of the opening cave area
  • Sanctum Manufactorum: Fixed various issues with the lift area leading to the final boss encounter, where the player could get stuck
  • Heresy Lurks: Fixed an issue where a Plasmagun Cultist was not aware of the player
  • Heresy Lurks: Fixed two issues with jump pads triggering when the player has not stepped on them
  • Heresy Lurks: Fixed two issues where the player can get stuck in a wall during the boss encounter
  • Heresy Lurks: Fixed an issue where the crusher sound could persist after loading a different save

Chapter 3

  • Promethium Supply: Fixed an issue with an invisible wall preventing player movement
  • Promethium Supply: Fixed an issue where inaccurate Servo Skull dialogue would be displayed when the Invulnerability accessibility option was enabled
  • Promethium Supply: Fixed incorrect collision on various pipes
  • Know No Fear: Fixed an issue where the blue beam connecting Tumulus Samael and other bosses could disappear

Enemies

  • Decreased time it takes for Chaos Space Marine grenades to explode after being thrown
  • The Great Unclean One’s bell attack no longer adds an incorrect highlight to nearby enemies
  • The Great Unclean One will no longer spawn up to 1000 nurglings if left for long periods of time. This was arguably too many nurglings
  • The correct death quote will now display when the player is killed by the Sorcerer in all circumstances
  • Added a new death quote for when Chosen Champions kill the player, as the latter happens quite a lot (sorry)
