We are Spellgarden Games, founded, owned and led by a majority of female devs. When we started to develop Sticky Business, we had no idea where this journey would take us. The core gameplay of Sticky Business was designed in a month. It all started with something familiar to many indie devs - a game jam! We just wanted to create a fun and simple game that stimulates creativity for everyone. A game we ourselves would also love to play. We wanted to make a game where people feel included and represented no matter the identity they have. The feedback we received till this day is mind blowing to us. We received so much love from our community and saw so many creative designs. We check our social media channels everyday and to see how much happiness these stickers spark is so beautiful. I am Kathrin Radtke, co-founder and programmer at Spellgarden Games. I fight for visibility for women and gender marginalized people in my industry. Maybe you saw me in a talk or on TikTok. I quit my job to found my own company and create my own games. This was (and still is!!) pretty scary. Sometimes you can be lucky with your game, sometimes you need help and that’s okay. WINGS created a company and a platform to highlight devs like us and what we created for you out there. So please consider checking out the event page!
