this is Max from Soulpotion - one of the two developers of Asgard's Fall. I'd like to share some first-hand information about our current development status and the future of Asgard's Fall. You can expect more insights in the future from now on. ːsteamhappyː
Where are we development-wise?
We've recently transitioned from Unity to GameMaker Studio 2! Our priority has always been to provide a safe and stable environment for our game's development. Recent events around Unity raised concerns, leading us to explore alternatives. And we believe we've found the perfect match with GameMaker Studio 2!
This means the new Asgard's Fall is also getting a new Steam page - This will be the full game coming out later this year.
What to expect in the new version?
New and Improved Mechanics: We're introducing crafting and gathering systems! Collect resources and craft items that will aid you in your adventures.
Revamped Skill Tree: A completely overhauled skill tree with new and more powerful options and strategies.
New Characters: Introducing new Characters completely changing the way the game is played.
Sword Engraving System: A unique feature to enhance your character! Customize your sword with powerful engravings that grant special abilities and bonuses.
Much More: There are more things we're discussing and will give you more insight into once we've decided what will and won't make it into the game.
Oh, one more thing: to shorten the waiting time, we've decided to release the latest Unity version for free soon - like very soon. The version is called Asgard's Fall: Origins from now on.
Yes, you heard right - FOR FREE. The version does have some limitations of course, since we weren't finished yet. But, we hope you'll enjoy the Asgard's Fall: Origins build in all its glory and the flaws it still might have.
