Today, we want to share with you a substantial change that we believe is important to us. For context, “Mega City Police” started from a retro-style action vision, the goal was to create a game that evokes nostalgia, transporting you back to the action films of the '80s and '90s era and for that we chose “Mega City Police” to reflect this theme.
In the spirit of transparency and for a better future, we have decided to change the name to “Mega City Force”. This decision was influenced by several factors:
> The Essence of the Game: “Mega City Force” better represents the core of our game – a group of old-school action heroes fighting for justice in the city called Mega City.
> Name Complications: Certain social events have unexpectedly cast a significant negative spotlight on the term “police” in connection with our game, in ways never intended.
> Negative associations: We acknowledge that some may connect the game to negative aspects such as police brutality, which prompted them to refrain from playing, we support the law, but not rigidity and violations. We care about people's feelings and don't want associations to cause negativity.
With all that in mind, we have one more important announcement to make.
New Update — Factory & Robot Expansion
We promised the Factory & Robot update will arrive in Autumn, yet in the end this is going to be delayed until December 21st. We'd like to apologize for the delay, but this allows us to properly layout a plan for the name change.
Now, we're reaching out to you, our incredible community. Your feedback is invaluable to us, so please share your thoughts. We're confident “Mega City Force” will maintain the action and immersive gameplay you adore. As we grow, expect more exciting adventures and updates as per our roadmap.
