Greetings, fellow Vampires!
We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes, expanding the game based on the amazing feedback from all of you. We’re especially thrilled about adding a new alchemy system. Suggested by @squiggles on our Discord, it’s something we hadn’t planned initially but are super excited to include in the game!
In other news, we’re eager to share a new feature with you all! As a vampire, you won’t just be choosing your class, but also your bat species for transformation. Transforming into a bat will allow you to quickly navigate between key locations (hotel, blacksmith, farm, kitchen, dungeons, etc.) as well as escape dangerous encounters. Every bat species will have a special ability though, adding another layer to the gameplay.
1. Snowfluff's unmatched speed makes zipping around the hotel a breeze, bringing a whirlwind of frosty white to every corner of the shadowy halls. Whether you're in a hurry to oversee your mischievous guests or tending to your underground farm, this cute critter will get you there in a flutter of a wing. However, Snowfluff’s swift and delicate nature makes it more susceptible to damage, so it’s wise to avoid areas where enemies linger.
2. Meet Cuddlewing, the embodiment of flying charm and cuteness! With its tiny wings and unmatched charisma, Cuddlewing manages to flutter around even the most distinguished guests without causing a single gaze of distress. This adorable little creature is perfect for discreetly hovering over the elites, ensuring your vampire tasks remain undisturbed and unnoticed by the observant eyes of Snobs and Royalty, who particularly dislike the sight of bats. His small wings don't make him the fastest bat around, though.
3. When you turn into Hellswooper, you give off a scary vibe that makes enemies think twice about chasing you. This means you might get away from danger fast! Plus, Hellswooper can attack from a distance, letting you stay safe while dealing with threats. Such attacks deplete your blood meter, so they should be used with caution. His demonic appearance can be quite unsettling to the hotel guests, so it's best to utilize his skills away from the eyes of the patrons.
4. Armed with tiny vampiric fangs, Fangsnuggle possesses the unique ability to draw small amounts of blood from enemies, offering you an advantage in your dungeon explorations. However, each bite is a risky dance; enemies will attempt to repel Fangsnuggle’s advances, and there’s a chance he might take some damage. So, use his biting prowess with strategic finesse!
5. Twinklefly’s a real light in the dark! With his twinkling wings and large ears, he can echolocate hidden treasures and detect sneaky traps in dungeons, letting you avoid unwanted surprises and find those secret goodies that might just slip by unnoticed. Ideal for the treasure-hunting, dungeon-exploring enthusiast! But be cautious! Twinklefly’s sparkling light makes him a beacon in the dark, potentially attracting more attention from foes lurking in the shadows.
