X-Morph: Defense is an action-packed shoot'em up and tower defense hybrid where you are the villain of the story. You are one of the X-Morph - a mysterious, extraterrestrial form of life. With their advanced technology, the X-Morph travel across space searching for planets they can assimilate into their collective. The X-Morph use those planets' energy to replicate further and conquer new worlds. This time, they set their sights on Earth...
Your task in X-Morph: Defense is to set up a network of Harvesters around the globe. Humans will try to resist your conquest and send their best military equipment against you. You will need to defend the Harvester from the enemy forces consisting of tanks, aircraft, drones, infantry, and even giant mecha. It's up to you to decide how you want to do this. Take a strategic route or mow your way through the human army.
Set up a maze of powerful defensive towers connected with laser fences. Choose from several types of towers, each specially designed to deal with a different kind of foe. Use artillery to break through enemy armor. Set up flamethrowers and stop the infantry in their tracks. Cut bombers in half using lasers. Invest your resources wisely and make yourself untouchable.
If you prefer a more direct approach, use the X-Morph fighter to take down the enemies by yourself. Phase in and out of the physical form to ambush the enemy units. Morph your fighter into different forms, each equipped with a unique weapon capable of bringing entire cities to the ground.
Speaking of bringing cities to the ground, the X-Morph have no use for the ugly, concrete slabs humans call 'houses'. Blow up bridges, destroy factories and topple skyscrapers to block the enemy's path.
Do not think that victories will come easy. People of Earth will throw everything they have at you in order to survive. That includes giant, experimental weapons in the form of giant mecha. Those battles will determine the course of your conquest.
You can also bring a friend to share the joy of destruction via split-screen co-op mode.
