Hey there, heroes of the gaming world!

It’s been a couple of weeks since we released our groovy game Pixel Ripped 1978! Things have been great, with new players coming in daily! But you know, our game is about getting bugs fixed so what’s better than us fixing some tiny stuff as well?

On this first patch, we have not only bug fixes but also some balancing and things to get the Pixel ‘78 even more polished. Why not?

So, without further ado, on patch 1.1.0.375 we’ll get:

Balancing

  • Third Boss balancing
Made the third chapter boss a bit easier to avoid frustration. The main change was a 25% increase in barrier respawn time to give the player a bigger window to hit the boss.
  • Final Boss Meteor Delay
Increased last boss' meteor shot delay.
  • Removed slower movement speed
    Well, that’s kinda self-explanatory.

Bug Fixing

  • Growing Trees
Fixed a bug that allowed players to walk through pixelable palm trees before the object was completed.
  • Farofa 83 Temples
Fixed Far-of-a-Land temple having no collider.
  • Teleport Progression
Fixed an issue that could halt Grave Yar progression when using the teleport movement.
  • Mission Object Release

  • Progression Inconsistencies

  • Grab pose on Dot's Toy
Tweaked the grab pose on Dot's Doll.
  • Grab Pose on Michelle's Distraction Stamp
Tweaked the grab pose on Michelle's Distraction Stamp.
  • Grab pose on Melee Weapons
Tweaked the grab pose on a few melee weapons.
  • Duplicated dog
Fixed an issue where after delivering the Code Stone, a duplicated dog appears inside a rock in Far-of-a-Land (we still love dogs tho. Dogs are never enough in real life!).
  • NPC blocking house
Fixed NPC not properly blocking the entrance to the house next to the Tavern in Far-of-a-Land.
  • Missing Subtitles
Fixed missing subtitles for some office voice lines.
  • Openings in Grave Yar

Added the sound of Dot puking after drinking beer.

Tweaked NPCs dialogues in Far-of-a-Land to update along with the town and not before it.
  • Office NPC Mixing Changes
Lowered the volume of the voice-over and footsteps of NPCs in the office, and tweaked spatialization to a few phone calls.
