In 2020, our Thief Simulator VR was nominated on Steam for the GOTY VR award. In 2021, our Cooking Simulator VR won the GOTY VR award! We are currently working on Into The Darkness VR and several other projects. Now we are ready to reveal something more about one of them.
What is Prison Simulator VR?
At Gameboom VR, we do not develop simple ports, but we rework many mechanics so that you can have as much fun as possible while playing in virtual reality. What awaits you in Prison Simulator VR?
The game allows you to experience life in prison in the comfort of your own home without any real-life consequences! It is you who will decide what kind of prison guard you will become. Will you fulfill all tasks as expected, or will you strike a deal with prisoners? Will you turn a blind eye to prison brawls or will you punish the prisoner?
A living prison
As Gameboom VR, we became interested in Prison Simulator because of the artificial intelligence, which can surprise you during every playthrough. The prison simulation process will amaze you more than once with its complexity. For example, you can have different relationships with each prisoner, and on top of that, each is distinguished by a different personality type - from a peaceful guy to one who will not respect you at all.
Prison Simulator VR game modes
There will be two game modes in Prison Simulator VR:
- storyline - you will experience a planned story, full of thrilling moments and twists
- freeplay - in this mode, you play the part of a prison guard without any restraint
Prison Simulator VR development
Prison Simulator VR will be available on popular PCVR headsets, PlayStation VR2, Meta Quest 2, Pico Neo 3, and Pico 4. Seated and standing gameplay will be available. The title will be translated into 10 languages (English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Turkish, and Portuguese). There will also be support for achievements. Our new game is coming in 2023!
