Crashes and Bugs
Fixed an issue that prevented proper required quantities from showing while inspecting recipes that do not meet the available item requirements
Fixed a bug that could occur as a result of a UI interface element being clicked while no path had been determined, usually experienced during an alt-tab process switch upon returning to the game from some other task.
Fixed a crash that occurred when attempting to pay a toll to the Toll Collectors without having sufficient funds to do so (they got so angry they crashed the game).
Fixed an issue that caused items to be consumed by the void when auto-equipped via the character panel in the hero editor
Fixed an issue that prevented the correct level progress to be shown during the end-of-battle scenario summary
Fixed an issue that prevented conviction damage caused by morale tests from going through the proper damage processors.
Fixed a crash that occurred when receiving equipment items (e.g., medical bags) from scavenged medical shipments
Fixed an issue that prevented certain weapons from applying rules of engagement such as flanking and opportunity
Fixed an issue that caused the Scholar’s Heal ability to force morale tests on friendly units with critical health
Fixed a bug related to the Toughness enchantment that caused heroes to fully heal after every completed tactical encounter or whenever the Nourished curative buff faded
Company Details (world map) is now correctly updated after completing a story-based encounter
Balance
The output of the Gruel recipe was reduced to 2 (down from 10)
The requirement for (the infinitely available) Water was removed from all recipes. It may return later as a “Boiled Water” or “Sterilized Water” requirement
All characters not immune to morale tests will now suffer a morale test whenever they take physical damage while below 20% health
Vigilance and Gathering are now forbidden enchantments for all equipment items and can now only be obtained via class talents or manuals
Enervating and Negating enchantments will no longer be obtainable on Tier 3 or lower items
Incendiary Grenades have made their way back into loot tables. Expect to see the recipe drop from random outcast encounters
Drop rates for recipes from random encounters have been reduced significantly (down to 10% from 30%). This should still be rewarding, but hopefully not too grindy. If it becomes problematic to the overall enjoyment of the game, I will increase it again.
All enemies baseline health will now scale with the number of units in the player’s company along with the current world tier
The Enervation weapon enchantment (wielded by all Unliving, obtainable by the player after world tier 3) has been reworked. It will now heal the user’s essence of a percentage of all physical damage dealt, then add that same amount as additional essence damage as a side-effect of the attack. It is now essentially a combination of Innervation and Negation, and thus, its drop value (and rarity) was adjusted accordingly.
Wolves are now capable of flanking
Polish
The Crafting Lab will now select the first available recipe by default, if none has been previously selected
Adjusted audio levels for various outdoor ambience on the world map, camp, and various battle scenes
Added some spooky ambiance to the Vlenfir Valley. It should hopefully feel a little less safe.
Pause menus will now actually pause the game while they are active
Corrected grammatical errors in various tooltips, tutorial subjects, and stories.
Encounter Dialog will now properly dismiss zone tooltips when it is displayed and dispose item tooltips when it is hidden
In order to better reflect their heritage, humans of Kraalian descent will now be given a mix of Dynathi and Anethi names, but will retain their tribal surnames.
Added a special highlight to draw attention to very rare items like Adventure, Relic, Recipe, and Class Keyscrolls
A number of icon resources have been added for several loot items, abilities, status effects, and enhancements
Added a highlight to draw attention to class promotions for Mercenaries who have earned level 1.
Added a number of randomized tips and flavor text to the loading screen
