This is the biggest update Sunset Mall has ever received, however Part 2 will be much bigger!
With Part 1 most of the bugs have been worked out and new things have been added, here are a few:
Multiple movement styles!
You can now select 'Strafe Movement' or 'Boost Movement', these will alter the game significantly and will have an impact on the difficulty too!
Trash Cans
You can now search Trash Cans for small amounts of money, this helps if you are only a few dollars off of an item and you can't find an ATM.
(Comes with an achievement!)
Information Kiosks
These Kiosks provide tips about the game and can help if you are in a pinch, consider these like tutorials!
Loading Tips
Now when Loading into the Mall, tips will appear on your screen to help out, these tips are the same as the Information Kiosk tips.
Store Counters
To help make the game feel a bit more realistic, each store will now have store workers and counters, although you don't have to pay at the till, they still add to the theme better and in future might have more use.
Music Information
When in the pause menu, a small cassette will appear telling you what song you are listening to!
Wet Floor Areas
New obstacles have been added, these wet floor areas are marked with yellow signs, Players and NPC's cannot move through these and instead must go around, this can be a hindrance but smart players will see it as an advantage!
Reflections, Reflections!
Water sources in the game will now reflect their environment, not much more to say other than its really cool!
More Followers!
For those who like the followers, 3 more have been added, with more planned as we get ready for Part 2 of the Sunset Mall renovation...
Discord Integration 2.0
Those who use Discord will now have better integration with their servers, now being able to open Discord from within the game, also being able to Stream the game directly to their current voice channel, seeing voice channel members in game and much much more!
Sunset Mall Quote Bot (Discord)
If you like the witty humour of Sunset Malls Shoppers then you will like the Sunset Mall Quote Bot!
This is a Discord bot that can join your servers, it will speak to members and give quotes directly from the game. There will be more information about this inside the game but also on Twitter and the Sunset Mall Discord Server!
Item Helpers
In the past some players have expressed how hard it is to find some items in the game as they do not know what type of item they are. Your pleas have been answered, you can now toggle item hints on and off in the settings menu. However, the hints will be off by default as that is how Sunset Mall is meant to be played!
Shoppers are now Ghosts?
Collisions have always been annoying in Sunset Mall so now they have gone Poof!
Well not all of them... Shoppers will no longer collide with you and you won't have to worry about being stuck in corners because of them!
Vending Machine Overhaul
Vending machines now will give a random item for a cheaper price!
Sadly, Some Shoppers have bid us all adieu...
Some shoppers will no longer appear in game. this is very sad and they will be missed.
It is not all bad though, some new people have come to visit!
