Merry nearly Christmas, this update is a fun one.
Followers
You can now select one of two current followers, this is between a cat and a dog at the moment.
These followers will keep you company around the mall, you can interact with them and in a future smaller update estimated around new years, there will be many things you can do with your pet!
General UI
The UI for the main menu has been tweaked to look better, this is step one of a plan to revamp the games UI and make it more appealing, this will also follow into the main game too with additional fonts and icons being displayed.
Soundtrack
The soundtrack has been added two and now features more songs, these songs will randomly play in the game, they have also been added to the downloadable soundtrack on Steam which is free. Alternatively the soundtrack has also been uploaded to YouTube which you can find here
Other Updates
Although this has been hardcoded into the game for awhile, it is still being said here as it is a reminder for the Christmas Achievement. If you play on Christmas day, not only will you get this achievement but the map itself will look different, over the next year the Christmas decorations and the event itself will be updated and made to look nicer so that next Christmas it will be something special.
The Sunset Mall Wiki itself will be updated and fixed so that it provides a lot more information about the game.
Strafing may soon return to the game along with multiple other things that will help the movement system!
Finally
Thank you for still playing the game, it was a fun project of mine that has done really well, although I am working on other games which will be uploaded to Steam and other platforms soon, I am still working on Sunset Mall and am even thinking of Mobile and Switch ports for the game.
