2019 - We will be announcing an exact date soon.
Why did we remaster Sniper Elite V2?
Rebellion are lucky to have a passionate community of Sniper Elite V2 fans that we really wanted to give an opportunity to relive their experiences on the latest systems, with greatly improved gameplay and enhanced visuals. We also wanted to bring Sniper Elite V2 Remastered to an audience of people who may not have had the chance to play the original Sniper Elite V2 on the previous platforms.
What platforms will Sniper Elite V2 Remastered be available on?
Sniper Elite V2 Remastered will be available on:
- Nintendo Switch
- Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X
- Playstation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro
- PC via Steam, GOG and the Microsoft Store
Will there be an upgrade for those who already own Sniper Elite V2?
If you already own Sniper Elite V2 on Steam then yes there will be an upgrade discount in the future. Keep an eye on https://sniper.com for info. Unfortunately we won’t be providing this discount on other platforms, however as mentioned under “What’s new in Sniper Elite V2 Remastered?” above, there are a large number of improvements from the original that make the remaster a much greater experience.
Will a pre-order be available?
Yes, a pre-order is planned, details to come in the near future.
Will the DLC from Sniper Elite V2 be available?
All previously released DLC is included FREE in Sniper Elite V2 Remastered without the need for additional downloads or purchases.
If my friend owns the original Sniper Elite V2 and I have Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, can we play multiplayer together?
No, due to the substantial improvements made, Sniper Elite V2 and Sniper Elite V2 Remastered are not compatible with each other.
Will I be able to use my old Sniper Elite V2 saves?
No. Due to the improvements made in the games, Sniper Elite V2 saves will not be compatible with Sniper Elite V2 Remastered.
Will there be a pre-load?
No, there will not be a pre-load.
Is Sniper Elite V2 Remastered Xbox One X enhanced?
Yes, the game is enhanced for the Xbox One X. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered offers 4K resolution at 30 FPS or a scaled down version that runs at full 60 FPS.
Is Sniper Elite V2 Remastered PS4 Pro enhanced?
Yes, the game is enhanced for the PS4 Pro. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered offers 4K resolution at 30 FPS or a scaled down version that runs at full 60 FPS.
Will Sniper Elite V2 Remastered be “Xbox Play Anywhere”?
This game is available on Windows/Xbox Play Anywhere.
Will Sniper Elite V2 Remastered have cross play?
Cross play is available between players on Xbox and PC users who have purchased the game via the Microsoft Store. Cross play is also available between GOG and Steam players.
Is keyboard and mouse support available for Xbox?
Yes, we’ll offer full keyboard and mouse support at launch on Xbox.
Does the game support dedicated servers on Steam?
Yes, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered supports dedicated servers via a separate download that can be found in the Tools section on Steam.
