Hello RE fans,
The dev team believes it has fixed the issue Raid Mode crash & soft-lock issue. While the patch is still going through its cursory QA checks, we'd also like to share the build with you and have volunteers give it a spin. Please share your experience in this thread.
While we don't anticipate any major issues, we recommend you back up your local save file just in case, even if you have Steam Cloud save enabled. Last thing we want is to corrupt your save locally and have that overwrite your 'good' save on Steam Cloud.
Fixes you can expect in this beta:
- Crash / soft-lock state in Raid Mode or when browsing the Friends Leaderboard
- Unresponsive keyboard during final boss fight in EP4.
- UI tweak in Raid Mode when you pick up items from the treasure chest. The item pick-up UI overlay is now moved over to the right and fades into view and goes away much quicker. Similar tweak has been made on the Raid Mode mission results screen.
Testing requirements for the Raid Mode crash: You must have more than 100 friends on your friends list in order to verify the fix.
How to access Beta branch
- From your Steam ‘LIBRARY’ list, right-click on Resident Evil Revelations 2 / Biohazard Revelations 2 and select 'Properties'
- Select the ‘BETAS’ tab.
- Type rev2vj7m9fjhk5f5 (case-sensitive) in the 'Enter beta access code' field and then click CHECK CODE.
- Now, select "rev2_beta00" from the pull-down menu and click CLOSE.
- Wait for the Steam client to finish downloading the patch.
- Launch Resident Evil Revelations 2 / Biohazard Revelations 2.
