A major update just went live.
The main feature is a new game mode titled Skate With Your Friends.

Skate for fun or chain all kinds of tricks into crazy minute-long combos and compete in leaderboards or live rankings. There's Flip and Grab tricks, Grinds, Manuals, Wallrides, Wallplants and Spine Transfers.
There's three new unlockables, Bunny Ears, a Sleepyhead night cap and Wings (+ robe). Make 50k, 150k and 500k point combos to unlock them. (Pressing and holding down the Special button is the key to making long combos, as well as doing grab tricks in pipes to ramp up the base score.)
The update includes some other smaller changes, such as the usual bug fixes as well as a redesigned mode selection for the Adventure mode for people who have beaten the game at least once. You now select the Skipless or Invisible mode by jumping against the corresponding block from below.
