Shortcuts

You asked us, so now you will not need mouses — there is no thing you can't do with only keyboard.

  • Open browser tab (Ctrl+T)
  • Close browser tab (Ctrl+W)
  • Restore closed browser tab (Ctrl+Shift+T)
  • Close program (Ctrl+Q)
  • Minimize program (Ctrl+M)
  • Switch active window (Ctrl+Tab)
  • Minimize all windows (Ctrl+D)

Notepad

Notepad would seem like ideal, but we found what to improve, take a look:

  • You can split your text to different notes.
  • Also it's dark now, like any good app.

Downloads

  • Now you can search files by name (a m a z i n g).
  • You can add files to Favorites and filter them from other files.
  • Also now it supports audio and video files. Who knows, maybe you'll find some.

Terminal

It is definitely the most important part of OS. And damn, it's better now!

  • File System — now you can view your files right from prompt.
  • We made it more beautiful and more comfortable. Come on, give it a try!
  • You can use s_talk to talk to some random strangers.
  • Also, we've added GLOBAL CHAT! Every ReduxOS user can connect to it and talk to thousands of users. Sounds cool, isn't it?

A few more things

  • Jointly with Alexandr "trck" Toretsky, we re-made FTP Server Viewer in ETTDI. Now you can preview text files and images.
  • While some companies stop support of 32-bit games, we're adding it. Now you can fire up some simple games on ReduxOS.
  • As always, some minor improvements.

That's all great, of course, but just in case, system may work unstable. So if you've got any problems, feel free to reach us at our Discord server.

Also, we're now working on english language pack for ReduxOS, so stay tuned for the fresh updates!

Thank you for the insterest in our gam... I mean, operating system. Yeah, system. What game are we talking about?
